Computer Center of any organization is always a backbone of entire organization. In order to provide full benefits to the students of all the trades of Engineering . GILFT Computer Center provides the campus-wide Networking consisting of Academic Zone, Administrative Zone. Computer Center strives to provide 99 per cent uptime for the hardware, Software, Training and network operations.. The BSNL as an ISPs is providing BSNL fiber optics Connection of 200MBPS (FTTH). 24 port Managed Layer 2/3 Switch is installed in the Computer Center. Computer Centre manages and administers the Internet links and the internet services such as electronic mail, World Wide Web. The various software, catering to the needs of the students of Footwear and Leather Technology designing such as ADOBE, AUTOCAD are present in the Computer Center.

GILFT Computer Center responsibilities include:

• Planning of IT infrastructure, resources and services.
• Development and management of Institute’s Web Site.
• Provides computer facilities for the institute administration and teaching departments .
• Providing Infrastructure of Online Classes to Faculty of All trades.
• Ensuring Internet Facility to Entire Campus.
• Consulting with all the departments of the institute to evaluate their IT requirements, capabilities and requests.
• Implementation of Various Portals of Government of Punjab.
• Imparting Training of Government Portals to administrative and office staff.
• Managing central IT infrastructure and services, including academic and administrative systems and information management, classroom technology, computing infrastructure, IT services ,networking and technology continuity
