Under proposed activities by state government (Indian Freedom Struggle), GILFT organised a lecture on trafic rules awareness on 6th May 2022 in the campus. Mr. Ranjit singh programmer, delivered lecture about Moter Vehicle Act, trafic signals, technology used in trafic lights and in online fine imposing system of trafic department using Artificial intelligence systems in developed countries and in some parts of India.

Today, 4/4/2022 , Miss Ruby , kulvir and Sanjeev Prabhakar have visited and delivered Carrer guidance lecture to class Xth students of Govt High School , Boota mandi.jal. they were given information about diploma courses L/ T and F/ T.

continuing the legacy of career guidance and counselling, on 31st March Mr. Ranjit singh Programmer visited one more Government Senior Secondary school at Gakhal Dhaliwal jalandhar for providing career guidance and counselling session. Students were given deep insight about various career options after 10 plus two and 10th class. Students from vocational stream of healthcare and security services, from medical, non medical attended the lecture and they have been provided the knowledge of entrepreneurship, various government schemes, benefits of skill based learning in this session.

Ranjit singh, programmer, on 30/3/2022 ,visited Government Senior Secondary School Basti Bawa khel for delivering lecture on career guidance to class 10th students. Students were given tips to clear the board exams with excellence, to be held next month. Students were also enlightened for various career paths after 10th, concept of entrepreneurship, self sustainable skill oriented study and courses are explained. Also they are provided with, all the schemes of benefits provided by Government.

On 17th March 2022, GILFT organised a visit of students of government senior secondary school sangowal Teh. Nakodar. During this visit a round of all the workshops, classrooms, laboratories is arranged for the students along with the faculty of institute. Thought provoking motivational lecture and lecture about various government schemes for students, information about courses, and about placement & entrepreneurship achievements of the institute is delivered by sh. Ranjit singh programmer.

On 26th Jan 2022, GILFT celebrated republic day. On this ocassion flag is hoisted in the campus. Faculty and students participated in celebrations.

On 26th Nov 2021, Government Institute of Leather and Footwear Technology jalandhar faculty and students celebrated constitution day. On this ocassion preamble of constitution is being read and a pledge is taken to obey the fundamental duties by heart and full soul.

On 24 th December 2021 Miss Ruby Mahajan Assistant Librarian has conducted 'Seminar on Ethical values of Good Citizen' under State plan of activities to be done between 15 - 12 - 2021 to 31- 12 - 2021. Faculty and Students of Leather Technology and Footwear Technology attended this Seminar and share their thinking and Views also.

On 17th Nov 2020 Mr. Ranjit singh programmer, delivered motivational talk on " Seven Habits of Successful Person" under state plan of activities to be done between 1-10-2021 to 31-12-2021. Faculty and students of leather technology and footwear attended the lecture.

On 8th Nov 2021, mr. Ranjit Singh programmer and internal coordinator Comunity Development Through Polytechnics (CDTP) distributed certificates to candidates who have completed course of fassion designing at Nawa Pind Nakodar. on this occassion numerous opportunities of govt. Schemes are highlighted. Before certificate distribution a counselling session was held for the youngsters of the village, Various courses of GILFT are highlighted and admission procedure is discussed.

Mr. Ranjit singh programmer and As Internal coordinator Comunity Development through Polytechnics (CDTP) distributed certificates to the participants who have completed course " self employment (Tailoring) " being run at Fatehpur Khera village shahpur jalandhar by government institute of leather and footwear technology jalandhar. On this ocassion village sarpanch and other senior members of village were also present. A total of 30 participants completed the course. They are addressed and encouraged to join further diploma course in footwear and leather technology. The people of village are also enlightened about various schemes of government such as Post matric scheme, CM scholarship scheme , fee waiver schemes and many more.

Gilft observed AKTA divas. On this occassion paper reading, poetry recitation competition and collage making competitions are hosted by the Institute on 27-29th October.

Mr. Ranjit singh(Programmer)and Internal Coordinator Community Development Through Polytechnics(CDTP) was invited for delivering career guidance and counseling session for students at one of the CDTP center Bhogpur on 8/10/2021. Numerous opportunities about government schemes are highlighted among students and they are encouraged to take banefits of Post matric scholarship schemes, CM scholarship schemes and fee waiver schemes, freeship card and Dr. Ambedkar scolarship portal, and many more . They are also encouraged to spread this information in their near vicinity to help others also.

From 25th to 30th September 2021 Mr. Ranjit singh (programmer) of GILFT visited various dignitiories of the surrounding areas for spreading awareness about government schemes such as Post matric scholarship scheme, CM scholarship scheme, fee waiver scheme for telling them to reap the banefits for students of their constituencies.various courses of the institute are explained , the USP and achievements of the institute are highlighted. For this pious purpose following dignitiories were visited:
1. Councillor mr. Mandeep jassal ji of rama mandi,
2. councillor mr. Shamsher khehra of chohka village rama mandi area,
3.ex. Councillor mr. Bitto dhillon ji of dakoha area rama mandi,
4. principal Naari niketan.

on 30th September GILFT organised FIT INDIA run.(Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav) Students participated in 100 meter run to give message to the youth to be fit.

Mr. Ranjit singh (Programmer) was invited for lecture on career guidance and counselling session for 10th and 10+2 students of vocational studies of Government Senior Secondary Smart School Bajwa kalan, shahkot. Various career opportunities and Government schemes are eleborated to students.

On 19th Aug 2021, Mr. Ranjit singh, (programmer) delivered career guidance and counselling lecture/session to the students of Government senior secondary school kot badal Khan (Noor mehal) jalandhar and Government Smart Senior Secondary School Umarpur kalan (noormehal) jalandhar. Numerous career opportunities are elaborated to the students of 10th and 10+2 students of both the schools. Students are guided about CM scholarship scheme, Post matric scholarship scheme and other banefit of diploma courses of GILFT.

On 18th aug 2021, GILFT hosted online quiz competition on the ocassion of 75th independence day( Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav)

Government institute of Leather and Footwear Technology, Jalandhar celebrates 75th independance day by hoisting flag. We congratulate the countrymen on this pious occassion. "Nation First, Always First" . We honour the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the glorious path laid down for generations by them.

On 12th August GILFT organised collage making competition under the theme of 75th independance day celebrations (Azadi ka Amrit mahotsav)

On 11th August, GILFT hosted poster making competition on the ocassion of celebrations of 75th independence day(Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav).

On 8th August, GILFT conducted third tree plantation drive, on the ocassion of celebrations of 75th independence day(Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav). Importance of ornamental plants is depicted through this drive.

On 5/8/2021, PAPER READING Competition was held Online through Zoom Platform at GILFT under the theme of 75 years of India's Independence celebrations (AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV). Three students participated:

2: Mr. Aditya Aggarwal 2nd Sem Leather Technology and
3: Mr. Harjinder Kumar FT 4th Sem.

Tree plantation done as per the state plan of activities to be done in the month of July-Aug on the occassion of 75th independance day celebrations.

On 2nd August 2021, institute celebrated Van Mahotsav(Tree Plantation) on the occasion of 75 years of independence celebrations(Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav). Mr. Rohit Dalia, Mr. Ranjit Singh with other faculty members and students participated in Tree Plantation.

Delivered career counselling session to passing out students of Certificate course of Beautician, to encourage them for admission in Diploma level courses of the institute, various facilities of the institute, entrepreneurship, placements and other opportunities are highlighted.
